This transitional style chestnut stained kitchen features classic touches and unique details. The open square corner wall cabinet displays the homeowner’s teapot collection, and the custom-made corner base cabinet with the revolving, self-closing Suzie-Q hardware is a modern take on the traditional lazy susan.

Part of this remodel involved removing portions of interior walls and redefining the kitchen’s layout. Opening up part of the wall between the kitchen and living room makes the home seem larger. The new countertop at the pass-through adds usable workspace for household tasks and also doubles as a serving area when entertaining. The adjoining sunroom had previously been closed off from the rest of the home. By opening up the entrance, this kitchen enjoys more natural light and functional living space.
