The Carlisle kitchen has a large expanse of shaker style white cabinetry while maintaining a homey feel. The secret? Dark countertops, hardware, and flooring provide dimension and warmth. Prior to renovation, the kitchen in this Harrisburg area home was cramped and cluttered. Professionally reconfiguring the layout makes the space seem larger and creates a better flow. To avoid clutter, everything is well organized and stowed away in Yorktowne Cabinetry’s bright white beaded panel cabinets. This makes it easy for family members of all ages to access kitchen essentials. Dark quartz counters and subway tile backsplash are nice counterpoints to the mainly white space.

The homeowners wanted friends and family to feel like they could hang out here. Our design and installation team rescued the dark and dated Hummelstown kitchen with timeless white cabinets. Because white cabinets spread and amplify light, they help make the space look larger and cheerier. Also, since white kitchen cabinets are neutral they go with almost any type of flooring, countertop, and backsplash allowing those features to shine.
This new build Harrisburg kitchen was designed with hosting in mind. An island serves as a buffet when entertaining, and the dark wood finish makes it the focal point of the room. Custom cabinetry in creamy off-white accommodates this couple’s collections of cookware and serving pieces. Napole granite countertops were a must-have. And the pot filler and professional stainless steel range were love at first sight. They even had the refrigerator custom paneled!
